The role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Treasury Analyst on a fixed term basis, a challenging and rewarding role which offers you the chance to gain hands‑on financial, operational, and analytical experience in a fast‑paced evolving environment. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, develop, and make a real impact. Working closely with teams across SSE, you’ll gain valuable insights into our financial operations and make a meaningful impact within a key function of the organisation.

You will:

  • Manage the company’s cash and bank balances ensuring accurate and timely cash reporting for the business to ensure they are fully funded and can meet all payment obligations.
  • Provide support for foreign exchange, liquidity and funding activities ensuring accurate and timely settlement.
  • Manage the daily payment requirements from across the business to ensure critical payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.
  • Support the Treasury Leadership team who are invested in your growth.
  • Take ownership of issues, ensuring they are identified and thoroughly resolved, while proactively seeking to implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

You have:

  • Experience of working in a finance or financial markets environment, ideally with knowledge of Treasury or cash management.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A natural ability to work with multiple stakeholders, using strong communication skills to work collaboratively adapting to support diverse business needs.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills, with a solution‑oriented approach and the ability to anticipate potential issues before they arise and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn, understand and investigate.
