Responsibilities
- Plan and perform tasks such as painting, fencing, carpentry, bricklaying, small roofing/wiring, glazing, and other building upkeep activities under ESQCR regulations.
- Carry out risk assessments and follow Lone Working Procedures; stop work if health and safety rules are breached and escape immediate risks promptly.
- Apply correct Health and Safety risk assessments to mitigate hazards effectively.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations when working with external contractors and report issues to the civils compliance coordinator or team manager.
- Represent SSE professionally, respond to enquiries, and monitor satisfaction to deliver world-class service.
Qualifications
- Proven background in a construction trade.
- Ability to work alone.
- A good level of Health and Safety awareness.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak with people at all levels.
- IT skills to enable the recording and updating of all required data.
- A full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to working hours and work location is a must.
- Company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

- Salary: £34,749 - £40,939 plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
- Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Onsite.
