Working hours and start date: 1.0 FTE, starting 01 September 2026. Lavington School is seeking a Teacher of Maths to join our team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad, balanced and engaging mathematics curriculum, planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Inspire and motivate students through a range of effective teaching strategies, helping them to achieve their individual potential and make strong academic progress.
- Assess, monitor and report on student performance, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and improvement strategies.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and actively participate in departmental collaboration, sharing best practice to raise standards across the subject.
- Maintain accurate records, track progress and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and external stakeholders to support student success.
- Engage fully in professional development, appraisal processes and wider school activities, contributing positively to the life of the school community.
- Support whole-school priorities, uphold policies, and play an active role in quality assurance, resource management and continuous improvement across the department.
