The pool of people who can do this role well is small. If you're one of them, we want to talk.

Our client is a London-based education recruitment business expanding their SEND schools temp desk. They are looking for an Account Manager with genuine SEND school recruitment experience — not general mainstream education recruitment with occasional SEND placements, but a desk where SEN, SEND, or alternative provision settings are your primary focus.

The role

You will own a portfolio of SEND schools across a London region, placing specialist support staff, teaching assistants, cover supervisors, and teachers into SEND and alternative provision settings on a daily and short-term supply basis. You will manage and grow client relationships at headteacher, SLT, and SENCO level, and develop new SEND school business within your geographic area.

This is a hybrid role in London. Hours are 7am–5pm term time, with shorter hours during school holidays.

The model and the earnings

The business operates a platform-led model where availability collection, compliance workflows, and booking taking, filling & confirmations are substantially automated. Mid-level consultants are filling 200+ days per week. Top consultants are at 400–500 days per week. Commission is £5k+ per half term at mid-level, £13k+ per half term at top level. Annual OTE at mid-level is approximately £78,000–£88,000. At top level, approximately £123,000–£133,000.

Requirements

  • Direct experience recruiting for SEND schools or placing specialist SEND, SEN, or alternative provision staff — school-facing client management experience, not purely candidate-side
  • Proven relationship management with SLT, SENCOs, and SEND school leaders
  • ATS/CRM fluency in daily workflow
  • 7am desk discipline during term time
  • Mindset - education recruitment is not easy, but it can be better. If you take full ownership of your actions, can share your opinions constructively, and are open to learning daily, this could be a great place for you to continue your career.

Benefits

Base salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience

Commission: £5k+ per half term at mid-performer level / £13k+ per half term at top performer level

Annual OTE at mid-level: approximately £78,000–£88,000

Annual OTE at top level: approximately £123,000–£133,000

Hours: 7am–5pm term time; shorter hours during school holidays

Location: London - Hybrid

If you're an experienced education recruitment consultant currently billing on a temp desk and your output isn't being reflected in your take-home, this conversation is worth having.
