About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed EdTech company on a mission to transform outcomes for schools across the UK. Their platform is already trusted by thousands of schools and multi-academy trusts, and they're scaling their UK commercial team to meet growing demand. This is a high-autonomy, high-reward sales role inside a company that's still early enough for your impact to be obvious — and ambitious enough that the upside is real.
The Role
Our client is hiring Account Executives to own new-business sales into UK schools and multi-academy trusts, from first contact through to close. You'll build and manage your own pipeline, attend trade shows and networking events to generate opportunities, and work deals ranging from smaller, fast-moving contracts to large, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales with senior education leaders. This is a full-cycle, entrepreneurial sales role. There's no rigid playbook — you'll be trusted to figure out what works, backed by a team that genuinely wants you to succeed.
What You'll Do
- Source and close new-business deals with UK schools and multi-academy trusts, owning the full sales cycle end-to-end
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers, from classroom teachers to C-suite and central pedagogical leadership
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events across the UK
- Manage a mix of shorter, transactional deals and longer, complex enterprise sales cycles
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing confidently with senior stakeholders
- Contribute to a fun, high-energy sales culture and help shape it as the team scales
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- A clear track record of career progression — you've been advancing, not standing still
- Genuine ambition and a results/money-driven mindset
- High energy and persistence — you don't fold at the first "no"
- Sharp problem-solving instincts (we've had great success hiring people with analytical or engineering backgrounds)
- Confidence talking commercial terms and pricing with senior decision-makers, without flinching
- A sociable, credible presence — someone who thrives at events and builds trust quickly
On experience: 2+ years in a tech or SaaS sales environment is a strong plus, ideally in a closing/Account Executive capacity. But our client has hired brilliant, top-performing AEs straight from SDR roles too — if you've got the traits above and the hunger to close, they want to hear from you regardless of your exact title history.
