EQ8 Recruit is working with a prestigious LNG shipowner to appoint a Marine Superintendent for their London, United Kingdom office. This role sits within the Marine Operations team and is responsible for ensuring safe navigation and cargo operations, vessel compliance, and ship-shore compatibility. You will also attend SIRE inspections, assist with audits and security, and provide expert guidance to shipboard crews.

To be considered for this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
- Master Mariner (Deck) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 1 year's experience in senior management on board an LNG vessel
- Certified Internal Auditor with training in Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation
- Strong understanding of charter party performance warranties, crewing standards, and cargo procedures
- Familiarity with SIGTTO compatibility procedures, SIRE inspections, and TMSA audits
- Ability to liaise with both shipboard teams and internal stakeholders across multiple departments
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee navigation, mooring, and cargo operations from a marine compliance perspective
- Attend SIRE inspections, TMSA audits, and assist with internal audits
- Support ship security and assist the CSO on security-related matters
- Guide and support crew education and training
- Assist in new project rollouts and provide technical input into vessel operation manuals
- Ensure smooth charterer and terminal vetting processes through ship-shore compatibility assessments
- Promote safety, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across fleet operations
