The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The Principal and Senior Consultants will lead on technical and commercial work with clients to help them shape and define operational pathways to deliver net zero and decarbonisation objectives. This can then also be translated into actual engineering programmes through the wider business operations and delivery teams. The Energy & Carbon consultancy work is carried out across a wide range of client sectors including manufacturing, industry, corporate, commercial, retail, heritage and transport bodies, as well as the public sector.

Role responsibilities and requirements:

  • Undertaking energy audits and developing engineering, and conceptual design of energy projects
  • Technical reports around decarbonisation pathways including financial outcomes and deliverables
  • Maintaining project completion timelines, costs and profitability according to client objectives
  • Building successful client relationships
  • Lead the delivery of profitability and revenue targets for each project
  • Articulate the risks and benefits of the opportunity to key stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise and continuity of support to clients
  • Be an industry thought leader and representative at Industry events
  • Compliance with company governance, assurance and QA processes
  • Training of new starters and junior team members

Key skills and qualities needed:

  • Energy engineering or applied science degree (MSc preferred)
  • Experience in undertaking technical energy audits within public and/or private sectors
  • Strong background in technical and commercial Energy and Carbon modelling in two or more of these disciplines: Renewable Energy, Energy Management, Energy driven BMS, controls and analytics, Net Zero Carbon programme delivery, District Heating, Energy & Carbon data analytics
  • Track record in Net Zero and Decarbonisation programme delivery
  • Experience of presenting to organisations and individuals, both orally and in writing
  • Problem resolution and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to mobilise and engage people with the capacity to develop and leverage your network
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and matrix management organisations on major projects and programmes
  • Excellent understanding of the legislations and regulations in the energy, climate change and/or the sustainability sectors
  • A passion for accelerating the net zero agenda
