Due to ongoing project demand, they are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant with strong payroll expertise to support client delivery activities.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant with strong payroll and pensions administration experience to support the delivery and configuration of a specialist administration platform.
The role involves working closely with clients to gather requirements, configure solutions, support data migrations and deliver payroll-related functionality.
This is a highly client-facing position requiring strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to work across multiple concurrent projects.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Gathering client requirements and producing functional specifications
- Configuring administration system functionality to meet client needs
- Configuring pensioner payroll functionality and payroll-related processes
- Supporting workflow configuration and business process setup
- Delivering data migration activities and data validation exercises
- Configuring interfaces between systems and supporting integration requirements
- Supporting benefit calculation configuration and related testing activities
- Producing reports and configuring reporting functionality
- Creating client and internal documentation where required
- Providing client training and supporting user adoption activities
- Communicating with clients throughout implementation projects and obtaining feedback and approvals
- Supporting software release and upgrade activities when required
- Managing multiple priorities and project activities simultaneously
- Building strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Key Skills & Experience
- Proven background implementing software solutions within a pensions, payroll, financial services or technology environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, including UK payroll legislation, PAYE, RTI requirements, payroll balancing and associated controls
- Ability to gather client requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications and deliver effective system configuration solutions
- Strong T-SQL capability, including working with SQL databases, data extraction, validation and troubleshooting activities
- Sound understanding of pensions administration processes, workflows, benefit calculations, reporting requirements and system integrations
- Comfortable managing data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy and supporting successful implementation outcomes
- Confident engaging with clients throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and design through to testing, training and go-live support
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with a professional and consultative approach
- Knowledge of DB and DC pension arrangements
- Exposure to pension administration platforms or wider financial services technology solutions
- XML and API integration knowledge
- Experience supporting software releases, upgrades and change deployments
- Understanding of pension calculations and associated administration processes
- Familiarity with accounting systems, VBA, ASP. NET, VB. NET or C#
