Our client provides digital administration and management software for pension schemes, including a cloud-based platform designed to support administration, calculation, and workflow processes. They operate within the pensions and financial services sector, supporting administrators, actuaries, and pension scheme stakeholders such as members, employers, and trustees. Their platform is designed to enable online access, automation, and self-service functionality for managing pension scheme activities.
Role Summary
This role exists to lead the planning and movement of data from clients' legacy systems into the our clients product suite. It supports client delivery and software implementation activities, including gathering requirements, configuring systems, and ensuring that migrated data is accurate and fit for use. You will be responsible for successful data migration and system configuration, enabling clients to transition to the our clients platform while maintaining data integrity and supporting ongoing system use.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise SQL-based data solutions to support data migration and reporting needs
- Develop data migration plans and processes, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity
- Perform ETL operations to migrate data between systems
- Collaborate with team members to gather data requirements and design solutions
- Monitor and improve database performance, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimisation
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy standards
- Configure workflows, data maintenance screens, interfaces, pensioner payroll, data migrations and reports
- Communicate with clients to obtain feedback and approval during software customisation
- Customise software systems based on client needs and specifications
- Educate clients on system use and customised features
- Create documentation for clients and internal use
- Support software release and upgrade processes when required
- Build credibility with team members and clients

- Liaise with clients to gather requirements and produce specifications
- Manage multiple parallel tasks and prioritise workload effectively
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
- T-SQL proficiency
- Experience working with SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Data migration experience including ETL, data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation
- Database design and data modelling
- Query optimisation and database performance management
- Software implementation experience
- Configuration or development of pensions or financial services software
- Pension calculations experience (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution)
- Experience working on pension administration systems (e.g. IntelliPen, Equiniti Compendia, Aquila Administrator, Profund oPen)
- Requirements gathering and specification production (including client liaison)
- Client communication, customer service, and stakeholder interaction
- Analytical and problem-solving capability
- Workload prioritisation and task management
- Understanding of business processes and workflows
- Technical adaptability and learning new systems and technologies

Core Hours - 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday
Location - Remote
Day Rate - Competitive D.O.E via umbrella
Duration - 6 months with possibility to extend
