Role Overview

You’re a fantastic senior housekeeper, who understands the importance of keeping everywhere clean, compliance of COSHH regulations and working as a team to deliver an outstanding service.

As the Head Housekeeper at Cedar Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home along with the people that live here.

You will lead the domestic and laundry team, ensuring the general cleanliness and tidiness within the home is carried out to high standards.

You will conduct 1:1’s and appraisals, maintain accurate housekeeping / laundry records and audits.

You will be responsible for ordering / receiving and the safe storage of cleaning products.

It is vital that you adhere to COSHH, infection control and health & safety legislations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the training, supervision, appraisal, and performance management of the homemaking team.
  • Ensure the staff rota is completed in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate staffing levels for each shift.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions, both on-site and off-site, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH, safe moving and handling, and cross-infection guidelines.
  • Ensure the home meets and maintains high hygiene and cleanliness standards

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve performance.
  • Willing to go the extra mile to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Experience within a similar environment desirable
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
