Registered Manager (Heart-Centred Leader) up to £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

How would you feel about leading the most forward-thinking care model?

Our homes are split into smaller households of between 9 and 12 people (typically), each household is self-contained, enabling all the activities of daily living, including cooking, to be carried out in that space.

The Registered Manager will be responsible for creating a culture where people who live at Alder Lodge are at the heart of every decision, families feel listened to and supported, and team members are proud to work.

You will lead from the front, build strong relationships within the local community and you will need to share our heart-centred approach to care and our belief that people should be live their best lives, it’s their way, every day!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the opening and operational development of Alder Lodge.
  • Provide strong, visible and inspirational leadership to the entire team.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive and values-led culture.
  • Ensure the highest standards of heart-centred nursing and dementia care are delivered consistently.
  • Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Lead the home through CQC registration, inspection and ongoing regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with people living at Alder Lodge, families, professionals and the local community.
  • Drive occupancy and ensure the home achieves its budgeted occupancy and financial targets.
  • Build strong relationships with NHS teams, social services, hospitals, GPs, community teams and other referral partners.
  • Recruit, develop and retain an exceptional team who share EQ Care's values.
  • Ensure Alder Lodge becomes a recognised and respected part of the Bishops Waltham community.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

  • Current Registered Manager experience within nursing and/or dementia care homes.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of managing budgets, occupancy and the commercial aspects of a care home.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Above all, you will be compassionate, emotionally intelligent and genuinely passionate about improving people's lives.
