Role Overview
As a qualified Registered Nurse at Acer Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home alongside those who live here. You will lead by example, ensuring your team members receive the appropriate support and guidance. Your responsibilities include providing comfort to those who need it, liaising with external departments, families, team members and management, and handling the ordering and administration of medication. Your role will help make a difference to all who live and work at Acer Lodge.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with the management team and ensure all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts.
- Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported and enable the person’s way – every day.
- Represent the Acer Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
- Liaise with residents, families and other multi‑disciplinary team members, including GPs, to promote excellent care.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.
Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within a similar environment desirable.
- Valid NMC Pin – no restrictions.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
