At Willow Lodge, we operate a Household Model of Care, where small groups of people live together in a calm, familiar environment. This allows you to move away from high caseloads and time pressures and instead focus on delivering truly heart-centred care.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will support the households with nursing needs, you will operate a model similar to district or community nursing, you will visit each household and work with the teams there to implement and ensure the plan of care you help write, is followed. Each household will support people with a range of nursing needs, including people living with dementia and complex care needs. You will work closely with a consistent team, getting to know the people and their preferences, routines and clinical needs in detail. This role offers the opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with a more holistic and relationship-led approach to care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care
  • Develop and implement individual care plans
  • Monitor, assess and respond to changes in peoples' health
  • Administer and manage medications safely
  • Work collaboratively with care companions, families and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support and guide team members within the households

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin
  • Experience in community, district nursing or similar settings desirable
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
