This is a varied and busy role where you’ll look after a portfolio of clients. No two days are the same as you’ll be involved in the process from start to finish. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives off a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Liaising with clients and providing bookkeeping support.
- Undertaking client software set-ups.
- Training clients on bookkeeping software.
- Reviewing and maintaining online filing systems.
- Rolling forward accounts at the request of accountants.
- Administering electronic and manual bank records and mandates as required.
- Preparing correspondence to various parties.
- Cloud accounting.
- Creating, evaluating and submitting reports to clients.
- Experienced: Ideally, you’ll have a bookkeeping qualification or training or have had experience in a similar role. A strong knowledge of Xero and Sage is essential.
- Skilled in numeracy and communication: You’ll have good numerical skills and excellent communication skills. You’ll find it natural to talk to clients over the phone and over email or Microsoft Teams.
- Collaborative: You’ll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to tight deadlines.
- Adaptable: You’ll be comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are open to new ideas and continuously seek ways to improve.
