We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for those with some professional experience in accounting to gain exposure to a wide variety of financial tasks and enhance their technical skills. You will be supported through on the job training as well as encouraged to gain relevant qualifications to support your career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with clients and answering queries.
  • Understanding the client business operations, identifying client needs and helping to deliver solutions.
  • Developing interpersonal and commercial skills and delivering 5 star client service.
  • Checking books and records when received, restoring backups if applicable.
  • Planning own time effectively and balancing deliverables with client needs and studies.
  • Utilising accounting software packages to carry out bookkeeping duties such as bank, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations.
  • Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing VAT and Tax returns.
  • Supporting decision making of experienced accountants by utilising technical skills to help prepare financial information including accounts, complete basic tax compliance, reconciliations and cashflows.
  • Preparing annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • CGT returns and computations. (Advisory)
  • Preparation of ATED returns (Advisory)
Our Ideal Candidate will be
  • Part or Non-Qualified: You will either have some experience working in a similar role or have started on your journey to become a Chartered Accountant.
  • Communicative: You’ll be a genuine people person with excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative: You’ll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Adaptable: You’ll be comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
