We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst / Administrator Graduate to join our Payroll Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in payroll administration, data management, and business analysis within a large organisation.

You will support the team with the accurate input and analysis of payroll-related data, administration tasks and fleet administration. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop within payroll while building strong analytical and administrative skills.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, has excellent attention to detail, and is keen to develop a long-term career within payroll, data analysis, or business support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input payroll-related figures and employee data into payroll systems.
  • Analyse and validate payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Record and monitor employee absences, checking information against payroll records.
  • Manage payroll email inboxes and respond to employee queries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain and file electronic documents using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Support fleet administration activities, including the organisation and management of fuel cards.
  • Produce and maintain reports using Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Assist with data cleansing, reporting, and payroll-related analysis.
  • Support the Payroll Team with general administrative duties and ongoing projects.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and managers via telephone and email.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree qualified (or working towards completion) in a relevant subject such as Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, HR, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable working with numerical data and large volumes of information.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Good telephone manner and professional communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Experience using Excel functions.
  • Previous administration experience gained through work placements, internships, part-time employment, or university projects.
  • Interest in payroll, HR systems, business reporting, or data analytics.
