JOB TITLE: Technical Support Engineer (Field) Graduate
DIVISION: WSD
SITE LOCATION: Telford
REPORTS TO: Lawson Price – Technical Manager
Job Purpose:
Assist the Technical Manager and the broader technical team by providing comprehensive Field Technical customer and internal R&D team support. This multifaceted role requires collaboration across production, quality control, sales, and marketing departments, facilitating professional development opportunities across diverse technical disciplines.
Key Accountabilities
- Collection and compilation of evidence for projects, including new product development and value-added solutions for new build and specification markets.
- Development of technical documentation, including standards, updates to Building Regulations, new products, and emerging market trends.
- Design and implementation of training programs and delivery methodologies.
- Analysis of quality-related issues to identify root causes and deliver corrective and preventive actions.
- Generation of innovative ideas through alternative working methods and or manufacturing processes.
Key Experiences and Skills Required
- Logical research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
- Positive understanding of environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Engagement in quality assurance and quality control processes to drive improvements.
- Prior involvement in evidence-based improvement initiatives.
Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- CAD/CAM knowledge and a mechanical hands-on approach to problem solving
- Appreciation of lean manufacturing principles and an interest in future technological developments
- Manufacturing/engineering or other technical/science-based degree.
