Mayfield, part of the Epwin Group, has been installing Sundecks for Holiday and Residential Parks across the UK for over 35 years. With a solid order book and pipeline into 2025, we are seeking a Lead Fitter to join our Installation Team based in Poole, Dorset, primarily working on the South Coast of England.
Role Overview
As a Fitter, you will work alongside a Fitters Mate, taking full responsibility for deck installation and health and safety compliance. Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work in all weather conditions are essential. While previous decking experience is preferred, it is not essential; carpentry/joinery skills are advantageous. Training will be provided. A full driving licence is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety for yourself, Fitters Mate, customers, and the public.
- Perform daily checks on the company vehicle to ensure safety, roadworthiness, and cleanliness.
- Arrive promptly at the Poole factory to check and load materials and tools necessary for installation.
- Report to reception upon arrival at the park and adhere to safe working practices.
- Install decks according to drawings, ensuring cleanliness, inspection, and completion of installation surveys.
- Remove all rubbish and waste from the site.
- Notify the park or Production Manager of any delays on departure.
- Return unused materials to the factory and recycle responsibly.
