Hours of Work: Monday-Friday:09:30 - 18:30 (40 hours per week)

Job Purpose:

The role of the Warehouse Operative is to efficiently and accurately pick and despatch plastic building products to our customer base, ensuring Health & Safety standards and other established SOPs are always maintained.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurately complete all Picking documentation.
  • Ensure continuous product care and report any equipment damage to the Team Leader.
  • Maintain high levels of communication within the team.
  • Achieve agreed picking targets and report daily pick results to the Team Leader.
  • Conduct a visual quality check before picking any product and report concerns to the Shift Coordinator.
  • Verify product placement before picking and ensure correct quantity, flagging any stock issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Label and date all individual loads correctly for despatch.
  • Liaise with the Team Leader at shift end regarding incomplete pick requirements.
  • Maintain accuracy in allocated duties, reducing the error rate.
  • Participate in twice-yearly stock takes until completion.
  • Keep the working area tidy and report hazards to the Team Leader.

Role Requirements:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and follow procedures.
  • Understanding of stock control and quality checks.

Personal Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High awareness of health & safety regulations.
