Job Purpose
The Product Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for products and projects, supporting sales and operational teams in winning profitable business.
The role combines technical product knowledge, costing expertise, and strong attention to detail to ensure the overall schedule is competitive.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and project requirements.
- Analyse product specifications to ensure accurate schedules.
- Liaise with Sales team to gather required cost files and technical information.
- Review customer enquiries and advise alternative product solutions.
- Ensure estimates comply with company standards, commercial policies, and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.
- Provide technical support service to both Salesforce and customers’ telephone, electronic and written enquiries.
- Give clear and concise information in either written or verbal form to ensure the customer is fully informed.
- Assist in the development of value-added services to increase market position and differentiate Swish from our competition.
- Maintain personal continual development of technical issues and allied product areas.
