Job Title: Quality Operator

Location: Hortonwood, Telford

Hours of Work: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am (rotating shifts), 5 days a week

Overview

Reporting directly to the Foiling Technician, the Quality Operator will be responsible for the quality inspection and packing specification of the laminated (foiled) product as assigned to them by the Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operating procedures, including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way to protect the corporate image.
  • Promote and display Epwin Core Values.

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out relevant quality checks/inspections on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
  • Segregate all non-conforming products from good production.
  • Communicate information via relevant channels.
  • Record all required information for checking/inspection operations as per works instructions/procedures.
  • Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
  • Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Technician and training plan.
  • Safeguard company property issued to the role.
  • Carry out continual visual quality inspections as determined by the product quality plan and procedure.
  • Perform specific quality checks/tests as determined by the product quality plan.
  • Pack laminated (foiled) products in accordance with the packing specification, as stated on the production schedule.
  • Keep the workplace clean and tidy; follow housekeeping procedures.
  • Transfer knowledge and skills among the team.
  • Undertake reasonable duties as required.
