The predicted salary is between 24750 - 30250 £ per year.

To support the night loading operation by ensuring Swish and contract vehicles are loaded safely, accurately, and efficiently with stillages and palletised goods.

To ensure all customer orders are prepared and loaded in line with delivery requirements, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, accuracy, and customer service

Key Responsibilities

  • Load Swish and contract vehicles with stillages and palletised goods in accordance with the daily loading plan.
  • Ensure all goods are loaded safely, securely, and in the correct delivery sequence where required.
  • Verify that stillages, pallets, and customer orders are correctly identified prior to loading.
  • Support the night shift operation in achieving daily loading and dispatch requirements.
  • Maintain excellent communication with supervisors, drivers, checkers, and warehouse personnel.
  • Follow all warehouse processes, procedures, and standard operating practices to maintain loading accuracy and minimise delivery errors.
  • Handle products carefully to minimise damage and ensure goods are fit for delivery.
  • Report any loading discrepancies, stock issues, damages, equipment faults, or Health & Safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation in all loading areas.
  • Comply fully with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supervisor or Manager.

Key Experience and Skills Required

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, distribution, or loading operation preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues across the operation.
  • Understanding of safe loading practices and manual handling principles.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to meet changing operational demands.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Previous experience loading vehicles within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • FLT/Combi Truck licence beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced logistics or distribution operation.
