Overview
Epta is a large manufacturing site in the Refrigeration industry. Our facility is a 24/7 operation, and maintaining its infrastructure, safety, and efficiency is paramount. Our Facilities Management (FM) team is the backbone of site operations, ensuring a safe, compliant, and optimally functioning environment for over 200 employees. The role is site based in Bradford 5 days a week 07:30-15:30 with some occasional weekend work. Salary ÂŁ28,000 to ÂŁ30,000.
Your Contribution (Job description)
- Administrative Support: Manage the FM helpdesk system, logging, prioritizing, and tracking maintenance requests and work orders. Maintain accurate records of permits to work, contractor inductions, and asset registers.
- Contractor Coordination: Act as a key point of contact for external service providers (e.g., HVAC, electrical, cleaning, security). Assist in booking site access, ensuring pre-qualification documents are valid, and that Safe Systems of Work are followed.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Support the FM team in ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations. Help organise statutory testing and inspections (e.g., fire alarms, pressure systems, lifting equipment) and maintain the documentation trail.
- Procurement & Inventory: Raise purchase orders for FM supplies and services. Monitor spend against budget and assist with the management of critical spare parts inventory.
- Site Operations Support: Conduct daily/weekly site checks to identify maintenance or housekeeping issues. Support incident response and business continuity activities as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic knowledge of M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) building services – Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safe or similar HSE qualifications – Desirable
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) or helpdesk software – Desirable
- Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or assistant role, ideally within Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, or a fast-paced industrial/manufacturing environment.
