Job title Production Planner

Reports to Senior Production Control Supervisor
Position summary:- Responsible for all day to day production planning and progress reporting
Main job functions:
- Produces and communicates accurate and reliable production plans, and monitors progress against the production plan to deliver daily production requirements to meet customer expectation OTIF
- Uses data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand, ensuring that potential conflicts are highlighted to Planning and Production Managers in a timely manner.
- Makes necessary decisions and changes to adapt to changing demand/constraints to achieve best outcome for the customer
Job location: Telford, Shropshire
Duties/responsibilities
- Capacity planning
- Create, own and develop detailed schedules for production
- Production plan creation
- Create Planned Orders
- Assess impact of materials availability with buyer
- Support on meeting shipment plans
- Monitoring material stock levels and ensuring sufficient stock to complete required Production orders and liaise with all departments on information.
- Creation of recovery schedules
- Coordinate daily with Packing and warehouse departments to ensure OTIF dispatch of goods.
- Allocating internal stock
- Daily communication of requirements and progress to Production Team
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production to ensure the SIOP cycle is timely, efficient and effective
- Attend weekly planning meetings
- Review slow moving / obsolete reports
- Update REACH & Packaging regulations report
- Participate in New Model Introduction & TEN notice
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
Experience required
- 3-6 Months in similar role.
- Good excel skills.
- Good Analytical skills
- Effective communication
