I.T. Technician works in all areas of I.T. to support business and staff.
Main job functions:
- To provide all aspects of I.T. Support to staff within the ETL Epson Telford Limited business.
- To use, maintain and support the ongoing development of the IT Heat Helpdesk.
- To provide operational I.T. Support within the I.T department.
- To adhere to Epson's Environment and Quality policies, and ISO 14001 and 9001 management systems.
- To ensure responsible waste management through waste segregation.
- To stay informed about environmental impacts in your role, working to prevent, minimise, and report potential pollution incidents, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
Note: In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
Job location: Telford, Shropshire
Responsible for: Support/guidance of I.T. Apprentice as and when requested.
Duties/responsibilities:
- I.T. Technician provides first line support to the ETL business.
- Logs all incidents and service requests on the “Heat” helpdesk.
- Works on IT Projects.
- Escalates tasks to third line and to Amsterdam support team.
- Supports the IT Senior Engineer.
- Performs a number of general I.T. housekeeping tasks.
- Documentation 5S activities.

- Essential: GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent; IT NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
Experience required:
- Essential: 1 year’s experience in IT; general I.T. experience; helpdesk use and call logging.
- Desirable: Use of Heat helpdesk.
