The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
To work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment (including Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment) and management of a caseload of clients whose needs are best met in their own home or community setting.
Responsibilities
- To plan, deliver and evaluate the treatment needs of clients with a variety of complex social and health care needs.
- To support less experienced members of the team.
- To participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team in developing and delivering high quality and innovative services to the local population.
- To promote effective teamwork delegating activities appropriately, to the benefit of the patient and service delivery.
- Responsible for the provision of Physiotherapy service for Surrey Downs Health and Care.
- To liaise closely with other health and social care professionals.
- To supervise and teach less experienced Physiotherapy staff, Rehabilitation Assistants and students within this speciality.
- To contribute to audit, implementation of best practice guidelines and participate in in-service training.
We are looking for dynamic individuals who will play a key role in driving forward our Community Therapy services in Surrey Downs. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and be passionate about delivering holistic care that has the patient at its centre. You will relish developing new ways of working to improve quality and develop a "one team" culture. You must have broad clinical experience including care of the elderly and enjoy the challenges of providing rehabilitation to people in their own homes. You will be supported by the Clinical Lead and experienced Band 7 Physiotherapists. As part of your role, you will be responsible for training and supervising Band 5 Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Students, and you will play part in developing the Physiotherapy service within the team. You will also be committed to the 'Fair Share' model of development of student placements within the team. As well as an extensive training programme within Surrey Downs Health and Care, our team also has an excellent in-service training and clinical supervision program. In addition, funding is available for external courses.
