The Staff Nurse will deliver high quality nursing care to patients as part of a team. The post holder is responsible for their own practice, working within defined limits of competence and the scope of the role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of care to dialysis patients and ensuring an excellent learning environment for patients and staff.
With the support of the Clinical Matron and Lead Clinicians, the nurse will provide holistic care to renal dialysis patients and comply with specific infection and dialysis guidelines. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Renal Nurse with excellent dialysis and leadership experience.
The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills, the capacity to work autonomously as a clinical expert, be self‑motivated, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with renal nursing experience or a keen interest to be trained in dialysis care.
The new satellite dialysis unit is based at Croydon University Hospital and is managed by the Renal Unit at St Helier Hospital in partnership with DaVita. The unit has 28 dialysis stations and can accommodate up to 130 patients at launch. The St Helier Renal Unit has been offering renal replacement therapy for over 50 years and is one of the five largest in England.
