Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence‑based, high‑quality assessment and care to children and their families attending the Emergency Department.
  • Supervise, support and educate other team members, including nursing and medical students.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Emergency Nursing skills.
  • Advise on health promotion and prevention of illness/injury.
  • Advocate for children and families.
  • Ensure safe and effective clinical practice and enhance patient experience.
  • Ensure the promotion and implementation of trust policies and the effective delivery of organisational objectives.
