Responsibilities
- Deliver nurse led specialised dressings clinics. This will give the post holder the opportunity to learn specialised wound management skills, training, support & guidance from the senior nursing team will be provided as required.
- Supporting and assisting the maxillofacial and oral surgeons as a scrub nurse in the minor skin and oral procedures clinic within our OPD - patient procedures are undertaken using local anaesthetic. You will act as a patient advocate and have the opportunity to follow your patient's journey from diagnosis to discharge.
- Supporting the running of outpatient clinics.
Qualifications
- We are looking for an experienced and motivated nurse with excellent communication skills to work in our maxillofacial outpatient department. We are a small MDT comprising of registered nurses, registered dental nurses, health care assistant and surgeons.
- Surgical experience within minor head and neck and plastic surgery and/or experience of wound management would also be desirable but not essential, full training and supervision will be provided.
