The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The clinical fellow will help support the busy retina service; working with the clinical lead to ensure patients referred to the service receive excellent care and treatment. The successful candidate will obtain training in the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients attending retina clinics, laser and the intravitreal injection service, as well the Acute Eye Service.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all other on-going activities of the department including audit, research projects and to attend departmental meetings and teaching sessions.
  • Work with the consultant team in the retina clinics, with at least two theatre lists (surgically intensive).

Qualifications/Experience

  • Good knowledge of general ophthalmology and the management of acute ophthalmic conditions.
  • A high level of competence in cataract surgery and retina clinics is desirable.
