The catering assistant role is responsible for serving and greeting customers in a friendly and efficient manner, promoting coffee consumption by educating customers on various coffee types at coffee outlets at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. This role is expected to provide an effective and efficient food and beverage service and excellent customer service and exceed the expectations of all patients, staff and various stakeholders. Ensure that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to in the day-to-day operation of food service to patients and to ensure that a high quality of food is delivered.

Main duties of the job

The catering assistant is responsible for serving and greeting customers in a friendly and efficient manner in the hospitality outlets at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. This role is expected to provide an effective and efficient food and beverage service and excellent customer service and exceed the expectations of all patients, staff and various stakeholders. This role is mainly to work in the Subway as a Sandwich Artist but the role requires work in other retail outlets if required. Permanent – 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days.

    • Level 2 Food Safety or working towards, must be available to undertake mandatory training at short notice to comply with Food Safety
