Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse – Community & Outpatient Unit. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse to join our expanding team. This unique role offers the opportunity to work both in the community and the CAPD outpatient unit, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals managing Peritoneal Dialysis as a home-based therapy.

Main duties of the job:

  • The post holder has delegated continuing responsibility for the management of the clinical areas in the CAPD unit.
  • They will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team in the absence of the Unit Manager.
  • They will lead the nursing team in the provision of safe and effective clinical practice and enhance the patient’s experience.
  • The post holder will ensure continuity, sharing of ideas and the setting of standards of care.
  • Information and feedback will be shared to empower patients and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • The post holder must possess fundamental management and facilitation skills in order to coordinate and supervise the activity/management of the staff, promote multidisciplinary working, and foster a supportive learning environment in the absence of the manager.

  • Experience in Renal Course
  • Peritoneal dialysis experience
  • Clinical venipuncture
  • Cannulation

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
