An exciting opportunity to join the acute therapies team within Epsom and St Helier University Trust. The role supports the therapy teams to provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for a wide variety of patients within the acute inpatient setting. The team covers most inpatient areas and therefore has a diverse patient group ranging from elderly care/frailty to surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory and hyper‑acute clinical areas. The therapy assistant works closely with qualified therapists to provide hands‑on treatment and promote patient independence. Assistants play a vital role in supporting the daily running of the service and are an integral part of the team.
Responsibilities
- Support qualified therapists with assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of in‑patients across a diverse range of clinical areas.
