Paediatric Junior Sister – Band 6
Are you ready to take your nursing career to the next level? Join our welcoming team at St Helier/Epsom General Hospital Paediatric Emergency Department as a Band 6 nurse. Due to our new skill mix increase and establishment enhancement, we are now looking forward to recruiting additional Band 6 roles alongside our existing Band 6s. This is a dynamic role with the opportunity to work across other Trust sites as needed. We offer Paediatric Crisis SIM courses, APLS training, Paediatric A+E courses and a variety of professional development opportunities. Plus, our dedicated Paediatric ED Practice Development Nurse is here to support you every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- will be professionally accountable for their standards of professional practice as set by the NMC Code of Professional Standards of practice and behaviour and relevant professional guidelines
- will undertake the nurse in charge role for the department
- will supervise, support and educate other team members, including nursing and medical students
- will ensure safe and effective clinical practice and enhance patient experience
- will ensure the promotion and implementation of trust policies and the effective delivery of organisational objectives
- will promote the Trusts’ visions, values and divisional objectives
