Overview
How You’ll Make an Impact
At Epsilon, the Business Analysis Lead (Data Warehouse) role offers an outstanding chance to combine technical skill with client-facing duties. Data drives our excellence in digital media, distinguishing us from competitors. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our Engineering department. You will work directly with clients to collect data requirements, examine their data, and develop mapping rules for developers. You will also analyze and report data findings while offering ongoing support to internal teams. You will act as a trusted advisor, representing the Data-warehouse team and encouraging collaboration. In this role, you will lead technical prioritisation for custom solutions, facilitate sophisticated data discovery workshops, and promote enablement through documentation and training. Your duties also include advocating for risk prevention, data privacy, and security, alongside ongoing process improvement. Working from our London office at least four days a week ensures you stay closely coordinated with local market dynamics and support global initiatives.
What You’ll Achieve
- Lead and facilitate technical data discovery and requirements workshops with clients and internal collaborators; uncover implicit needs from non‑technical participants and translate them into implementable specifications.
- Analyze client data and build scalable integration and process streamlining solutions with strong consideration for privacy, security, and operational risk.
- Confidently handle basic client objections to sending first‑party data. Explain privacy controls, minimisation, and protection measures.
- Bring sophisticated privacy questions to legal or privacy teams when needed.
- Serve as the local market representative and main contact for blocking issues with Data Warehouse and Identity Analytics leadership.
- Advocate for local needs while aligning with the global strategy.
- Spearhead data onboarding expansion into new and emerging markets, coordinating multi-functional collaborators to remove blockers and define repeatable patterns.
- Challenge the status quo: identify, propose, and lead process and tooling improvements that improve efficiency, quality, and scale.
- Build, maintain, and present first‑party data trainings and enablement content as part of new‑hire and ongoing enablement programs for local market teams.
- Develop and update internal user documentation and training resources that cover the broader context (architecture, data flows, governance) to support scalability and effective communication.
- Advocate for clear RACI models across projects; provide constructive feedback and drive cross‑team development, accountability, and process enablement.
- Build and maintain positive relationships internally and with external partners to understand outstanding partnership needs and ensure successful outcomes.
Who You Are
What you’ll bring with you:
- 8+ years of experience in data onboarding, business systems analysis, data solutions engineering, or similar roles (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience prioritising technical solutions with presales or solution teams, and leading technical discovery workshops.
- Intermediate SQL skills and deep understanding of relational database build and data warehousing concepts/architecture.
- Familiar with ETL processes, file transfer methods, and production data onboarding pipelines.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments and handling terminal commands; familiarity with Python and Shell scripts is an advantage.
- Experience with data privacy frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and applying privacy‑by‑design principles in solutioning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience crafting user documentation, trainings, and presentations at scale.
- Track record of influencing multi‑functional teams and advocating for process governance (RACI, SLAs, change control).
Why you might stand out from other talent:
- Experience within the AdTech industry.
- Experience with Python and Shell scripting.
- Experience working within agile engineering environments.
- Exposure to digital media data and downstream activation use cases.
