Senior Accountant - Practice - Remote

They are looking for a capable professional to take on key responsibilities as the firm grows further.\\n\\n As a result, this opportunity offers predominantly remote working. However, if you are interested in taking on a leadership role, including team management, additional office presence would be required.\\n\\n The firm has achieved consistent year-on-year growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

You will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping its continued success.\\n\\n Additionally, the business is planning to relocate to a more accessible, public transport-friendly area. This means candidates based in London who do not drive will also be considered.\\n\\n Key Responsibilities \\nStatutory Accounts Preparation – Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. \\nMonth-End and Year-End Close – Lead financial close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

\\nStrategic Financial Guidance – Provide clients with valuable financial insights to support decision-making. \\nProcess Optimisation – Work with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and improve efficiency. \\nRegulatory Compliance – Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure full compliance with tax laws.

\\nMentorship – Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development. Qualifications & Skills \\nACCA or ACA Qualified/Near Qualified – Strong professional credentials. \\nExperience – Proven track record in an accounting firm.

\\nAccounting Knowledge – Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. \\nSoftware Proficiency – Competent in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus. \\nAnalytical Skills – Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.

\\nCommunication Skills – Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills. \\nAdaptability – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively. Remuneration & Benefits \\nSalary: Up to £65k (depending on experience).

\\nHolidays: 23 days of annual leave. \\nHybrid/Remote Working: The firm supports remote and hybrid work arrangements. However, you must be available to visit the office in St Albans twice a month.
