This growing multi-partner practice has had an exceptional 2024 and continues to expand. Due to this success, they are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with 6+ months of experience in an accounting environment or those currently studying AAT Level 2 or above (or early-stage ACCA).
In this role, you will support senior team members with accounts preparation, VAT, and client communication, gaining valuable hands-on experience. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will provide training and mentorship, allowing you to grow and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:- Assisting with year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Supporting the preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting in basic management accounts tasks
- Providing administrative support to the accounting team
- Learning and using multiple accounting software packages (such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Liaising with HMRC and handling client queries with guidance from seniors
- 6+ months of experience in an accounting role (practice experience preferred but not essential)
- Studying AAT Level 2 or above / early-stage ACCA or equivalent
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Eager to learn and develop within a growing practice
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- £23,000 - £28,000 (DOE & qualifications)
