We are working exclusively on behalf of a well-established public practice firm in Bedfordshire to recruit a Senior Accountant / Client Manager. The Role
- You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of SME clients, delivering a broad range of accountancy and advisory services.
- You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships while ensuring the highest quality of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a variety of sectors
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts
- Audit work where required
- VAT returns and advisory
- Payroll oversight
- Bookkeeping and management accounts
- Service charge accounting
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying and addressing their needs
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or qualified by experience with significant public practice background
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio within a practice environment
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, audit, VAT, and payroll
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A team player with a professional and proactive approach
- Based within a commutable distance of Bedfordshire
