An experienced bookkeeper who enjoys variety and working closely with clients?
We're recruiting a Bookkeeper for an established, supportive accountancy practice in Dunstable.
You'll run bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across their different cloud systems, prepare VAT returns and management information, and be a reliable point of contact clients trust.
- What you'll be doing
- Running day-to-day bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
- Posting sales, purchase, bank and journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with MTD
- Producing management accounts and reports where needed
- Working across clients' cloud systems - Xero, Quick Books and Sage
- Communicating with clients to resolve queries and keep records up to date
- What you'll bring
- Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally within a practice or outsourced setting
- Confident on cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books or Sage)
- Good knowledge of VAT and MTD requirements
- Strong Excel and a methodical, accurate approach
- AAT qualified or studying is welcome (not essential)
- What's on offer
£31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, plus 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, ongoing training and a friendly, supportive team.
