We are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Buckingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.
You will work closely with a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries, delivering high-quality accounts preparation, tax compliance, and advisory services. This role offers excellent scope for progression and ongoing study support.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assistance with corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
- Supporting senior team members with client queries and ad hoc projects
- Liaising directly with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax legislation
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (or AAT qualified and looking to progress)
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, client-focused approach
