The role

This position will focus on supporting clients with their day–to–day accounting processes using cloud–based software. You will work with a range of businesses, helping ensure records are accurate, reporting is timely, and finance systems are being used effectively.

Alongside the technical work, you will also build relationships with clients, answer queries, and support them in improving how their finance function operates.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting clients with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and similar platforms
  • Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping records
  • Completing VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Supporting year–end accounts preparation
  • Helping clients resolve accounting software queries
  • Assisting with onboarding clients onto cloud–based systems
  • Working with senior team members on a range of accounting assignments
  • Contributing to process improvements for both clients and the wider practice

  • At least three years experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software
  • Experience in bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts
  • AAT qualified, AAT part–qualified, or studying ACCA
