ePropelled is a leading innovator in high-efficiency electric propulsion systems, and we are expanding our UK production team. We are seeking a Production Build Technician with electronics and PCBA experience, with a strong focus on motor controller and power electronics assembly.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in electronic assembly, system integration, and working with power electronics, who takes pride in precision, quality, and reliability.
What You'll Do
As part of our UK manufacturing team, you will:
Assemble and integrate motor controllers, power electronics units, and associated electromechanical systems.
Work with pre-assembled PCBAs, integrating them into enclosures, heatsinks, and higher-level assemblies.
Perform cable harnessing, high- and low-voltage wiring, and connector assembly.
Carry out occasional PCBA tasks, including:
- Through-hole soldering and basic SMT rework
- Minor rework, repair, or component replacement
- Inspection and validation of supplied PCBAs
Carry out functional testing and basic diagnostics on motor controllers and power electronics systems.
Support debug, fault finding, and rework activities in collaboration with engineering teams.
Perform visual and mechanical inspection to ensure assemblies meet high-quality and reliability standards.
Maintain accurate build records, traceability, and test documentation.
Use appropriate tools and equipment, including torque drivers, crimp tools, and electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeters, power supplies).
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in line with 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment focused on electronics or power electronics.
Hands-on experience with:
- Motor controller or power electronics assembly (preferred)
- Electronic system integration and enclosure builds
- PCBA handling, inspection, and occasional soldering/rework
- Wiring, crimping, and cable harness assembly
Ability to read and interpret:
- Mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
- SOPs and work instructions
Experience with basic electrical testing and fault finding.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, reliable builds.
Comfortable working in a traceable, quality-driven production environment.
Team-oriented with a proactive and dependable approach.
Basic PC literacy for production tracking and documentation.
Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
