eProductivity Software is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team. This person will contribute to the development and maintenance of written technical product information to improve the implementation, maintenance, and use of the products. They will also provide technical writing support for other groups within the organization. This position will be based in the UK and is part of a documentation team located across the world. Please provide a portfolio of work samples.
Primary duties & responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain product related documentation by gathering information from subject-matter experts.
- Adhere to guidelines/direction and deadlines established by project lead and defined by release schedule.
- The documentation can include but is not limited to: User Guides, Release Notes, Installation Guide, Integration Guides, WebHelp, Tutorials, Videos.
- Maintain intimate familiarity with products and their functionality and attend regular product team meetings.
- Provide internal point of contact for documentation support.
- Help define processes for documentation in an agile environment that improve the efficiency of the flow of information between developers, QA and documentation.
- Provide feedback on the design and UI of the product.

Qualifications and experience:
- BA/BS degree with a Technical Communications, English, Education, or Training focus preferred.
- 5-7 years of technical writing experience for software products.
- Experience in the packaging or printing industry is preferred, while familiarity with manufacturing and ERP systems is also advantageous.
- Knowledge of CSS and Help Output Configuration is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic JavaScript is preferred but not required.
- Experience adhering to style guides / standards.
- Able to work independently within guidelines provided.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams a plus.
- Ability to plan, structure and write user guides and help systems with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and work with unfamiliar tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

- GitHub or similar version control system preferred but not required
