Job Title: Supplier Quality Manager
Location: On-site, Runcorn
About the opportunity: As Supplier Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all direct suppliers and OEM partners across the EMEA region meet internal and external quality expectations and regulatory requirements. You will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of supplier-focused quality systems and processes, establish supplier quality standards, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with business objectives. You will drive strategic initiatives to strengthen the EMEA supply base, improve supplier capability, and support long-term operational success.
What you will do:
Define and implement supplier quality standards and strategies across EMEA, aligned with business goals.
Lead end to end supplier quality activities, including selection, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
Drive reduction of supplier related issues while ensuring compliant, capable, and customer focused processes.
Establish and track supplier performance metrics, using data to drive continuous improvement in quality and reliability.
Provide clear reporting and insights to regional leadership on supplier performance and key trends.
Oversee planning, budgeting, and performance of the EMEA supplier quality function.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards
Qualifications & Skills:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Academic Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent experience Β· Relevant experience in a regulated industry
Proven experience in a management role with a strong track record
Experience managing departmental budgets, including financials and headcount
Strong leadership skills, including communication, coaching, and strategic thinking
Strong team building capabilities, including performance management and organizational design
Strong analytical and problem solving skills using techniques such as Root Cause analysis, Pareto, 5 Why, and Ishikawa
Effective decision making and project management skills
Willingness to travel within the UK and EMEA, with occasional travel outside EMEA
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in medical devices or IVD sector
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including Kaizen, 5S, continuous improvement, 8 wastes, and value stream mapping
