Position Overview
The HR Analyst will provide proactive and accurate day‑to‑day administrative support to the HR function, working closely with and supporting the HR Manager and Management team. This is an entry‑level opportunity suited to a recent graduate with a relevant HR degree who is looking to build practical experience across the full employee lifecycle within a busy, professional HR environment. The role focuses on maintaining efficient HR processes, ensuring data accuracy, supporting managers and employees, and ensuring HR administration is compliant with UK employment legislation and internal policies.
Location
This role will report onsite to the Runcorn facility in the UK.
What you will do
- Provide day‑to‑day HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle (joiners, movers and leavers).
- Support in the preparation and completion of contracts of employment, offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Verify (face to face) pre‑employment checks, including right to work.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all HR systems are kept up to date.
- Support probation tracking and confirmation processes.
- Issue employment letters (salary changes, role changes, confirmation letters, etc.).
- Assist with recruitment administration including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Support with the coordination onboarding activities for new starters.
- Ensure recruitment documentation is compliant and accurately filed.
- Input and maintain employee data within the Workday HRIS system.
- Produce standard HR reports and support data analysis when required.
- Monitor data accuracy and support GDPR compliance and confidentiality of employee records.
- Respond to HR ticket queries.
- Liaise with the internal Payroll Manager to confirm payroll adjustments and queries.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and changes.
- Provide administrative support for employee relations cases, including meeting arrangements and documentation.
- Assist in maintaining HR policies and employee handbooks.
- Support HR Manager with absence tracking and employee case management administration.
- Ensure HR documentation and processes align with UK employment legislation and internal governance standards.
- Support HR audits and ensure records are complete and audit ready.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries and My HR tickets.
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with learning and development coordination and training administration.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related discipline is required.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards is highly preferred.
- Placement year, internship or previous administrative experience is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce, analyze and maintain HR data utilizing Excel and, ideally, Power Bi.
