The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who share our organisation's values and behaviours to join our Community and Wellbeing Team on a casual basis. As a Community Activity Leader, you will lead the delivery of high quality and fun community‑based activities to improve residents' health and wellbeing across the district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of high quality, fun community‑based activities, including the Council's Play in the Park programme, which provides play equipment and games for families to enjoy free of charge.
  • Plan, organise and run a range of activities such as sports, physical activity, arts, cultural activities, multi‑sports, craft camps, after‑school clubs, day trips and special events.
  • Work with children and young people, including those with SEND, to deliver inclusive and engaging programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full UK driving licence and meet the organisation's motor insurance requirements to drive a Council vehicle.
  • Experience leading the delivery of sports, physical activity, arts or cultural activities.
  • Desirable experience working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong enthusiasm, outgoing personality and passion for working with customers of all ages.

Availability & Travel

We are looking for individuals who are available throughout the year, including term‑time, school holidays, evenings and occasional weekends. Successful candidates should also be able to travel to various venues across the district.
