EPP Chartered Surveyors are seeking a dedicated full-time Block Manager to join our small team to assist in managing an existing portfolio of buildings. Whilst EPP are based in North Yorkshire, we manage buildings in the North West and London and have a number of new buildings coming under our management.We are an independent firm who prioritise client relationships and customer service over volume. We are seeking an organised and motivated Property Manager with excellent communication skills and similar outlook, who will play a key role in the future of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong relationships with RTM/RMC clients and other stakeholders including letting agents and residents.
- Responsible for organising regular, routine and pre-planned inspections and maintenance.
- Responsible for organising ad-hoc repairs and investigations.
- Regular communication with clients, leaseholders, residents and stakeholders.
- Prioritisation of tasks and balancing competing demands.
- Manage financial aspects including budgets, accounts, and reporting to clients.
- Undertake site inspections and supervise maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the managed growth of the property management business.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- TPI membership or other relevant professional qualification preferable but not essential.
- Highly organised with a proactive and positive approach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and prioritisation.
- Prepared to tackle problems head-on.
- IT skills required for using property management software package.
- Happy to work primarily from home with some travel to sites as required.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be home-based but will be required to travel for building inspections and meetings as required, and expenses will be covered for this. You will be working as part of a small, friendly and supportive team and there will be real opportunity for early career growth for the right person potentially as an equity director. As well as block management the business also undertakes valuation work and a range of commercial property services. Whilst the focus of the role will be block management, there may be scope to get involved in other areas of the business.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
