About the Role
Are you a seasoned technical leader looking to architect solutions that drive strategic business growth? Epos Now is expanding its Engineering department in Norwich! We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to spearhead a major new initiative.
In this senior role, you will take high-level technical ownership and drive a critical, fully funded milestone: the end-to-end delivery of our Embedded Accountancy Project. This is an incremental growth position where you will shape system design, mentor team members, and ensure the seamless integration of robust financial workflows into our global platform infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Measures of Success (KPIs):
- Project Leadership: Own and drive the successful, end-to-end engineering delivery of the Embedded Accountancy Project.
- Architecture & Health: Guide internal system design, optimize data logic, and ensure the scalability and long-term codebase quality of our financial integrations.
- Collaboration & Influence: Champion technical discussions, refine developer best practices, and work closely with engineering leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
- Extensive commercial experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer, with proven expertise in object-oriented programming, modern backend design, and database architectures.
- Strong background building or integrating complex APIs, data pipelines, microservices, or financial/ledger systems.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex technical requirements, design scalable software systems, and provide technical guidance to a developing team.
- Proximity or willingness to work from our Norwich Head Office (Unit 7).
