Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Senior YouTube Channel Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of the strategic planning, growth, and management of two YouTube channels. You’ll be a YouTube expert, deeply passionate about the platform, and committed to optimising channel performance, increasing subscribers and viewership, and driving engagement. This position also requires strong video editing and thumbnail design skills, along with a keen eye for analytics and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Video editing and Uploading:
- Edit and upload videos for both YouTube channels, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
- Design and create engaging, eye-catching thumbnails tailored to each channel\’s audience.
Branding and Creative Direction:
- Collaborate with the management agency to refine and expand the editing style and overall branding of both channels.
- Maintain consistency in tone and style across all content.
- Channel Optimisation:
- Stay updated with YouTube algorithm changes and emerging trends to maximise organic reach and visibility.
- Devise and implement strategies for subscriber growth, viewership increase, and improved audience engagement.
Content Strategy:
- Conduct audience analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking to inform content creation and optimisation.
- Perform keyword research to craft SEO-optimised titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails that boost search rankings and click-through rates.
Performance Analysis:
- Regularly track and analyse performance metrics, including views, watch time, audience retention, and revenue.
- Use insights to recommend and implement actionable improvements.
Team Management:
- Line-manage and mentor Video Editors, coaching them to enhance their editing skills and maintain exceptional quality across the team.
- Ensure all team deadlines are consistently met.
Social Media Expansion:
- Create and upload TikTok / intagram content to extend the brand’s reach across platforms.
- Leverage knowledge of all social media platforms to support cross-promotion and audience engagement.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing YouTube channels with a strong track record of growth and engagement.
- Deep understanding of YouTube algorithms, trends, SEO, and best practices.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong design skills for creating compelling thumbnails and on-brand visuals.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
