We are looking for an Proposal & Order Management Specialist , to work on a project with our client, in the life sciences space, based in the United Kingdom.
This role is a long-term contracted (Inside IR35) position that is operated on a fully remote basis, and the option to extend.
About the role:
In this role, you will contribute to European revenue targets by supporting the field sales team to develop strategic relationships with new and existing clients, particularly those in the field of advanced therapies.
The successful individual will have a strong command of molecular biology with an appreciations of protein expression and purification. They will also share a passion for working with clients to provide scientific and logistical solutions to bring their products to clinical or commercial production.

Responsibilities & Activities:
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, prioritise tasks, and allocate resources to achieve company and client objectives.
- Effectively manage client expectations through honest, consistent, and professional communication.
- Write and review Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), statements of work and responses for distribution to the client with the support of technical subject matter experts. This includes both pricing, as well as accurately describing the scientific milestones.
- Co-lead the client interface with Field Sales to review and understand the clients’ technical requirements and obtain required information for proposal development.
- Deliver high-level capability presentations during client meetings.
- Upon receipt of purchase order, execute all required system transactions to on-board project to operations upon receipt of purchase order.
- Maintain knowledge of project progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific field required e.g., molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry etc.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client facing role with preference for the cell and gene therapy industry.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology is preferred, experience with recombinant protein production a plus. Academic experience is also acceptable but must not be limited to the classroom.
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing and/or CDMO setting is desirable.
- Clear understanding or at a minimum an appreciation of the cell and gene therapy field.
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English.
